This photograph shows you how rough the terrain was in some places.  This is near the O-51 Gate and the O-51 Bunker.  (Dec 4-5, 1966 Attack) After the attack the entire perimeter received new land mines, perimeter lighting was put up and new defensive bunkers were built.
